Tour was recommended by our hotel owners at Rincon Ranch. Very convenient since it is right next door (and across from the local market). Tour lasted about 2 hours and it was fabulous. It was only me and my husband in a covered (shaded) jeep. The tour guide/driver was a local and very friendly and informative. We did this on our first day in the area as an overview of our surroundings. It was much better than just hiking around the Saguaro Nat’l park on our own. Highly recommend.

Tucson and we asked our 17-year-old daughter to plan all the excursions. She found Trail Dust Offroad Tours and signed us up for an evening jeep ride to see the sunset. It was incredible. Eddie (our driver/tour guide/Tucson expert) is a third generation Tucsonian and he provided us 3+ hours of fun facts about everything from Geronimo to the different varieties of cacti to the arrival of the Spanish into Arizona. He was outstanding and made the trip fun for all of us and we were able to see an amazing sunset. Would highly recommend Eddie and Trail Dust Offroad Tours

Bob is the absolute best!
We did the Mt Lemmon ‘get outta the heat’ tour. Oh my gosh Bob was amazing!!! This man has spent his whole life in the area and knows everything there is to know about the history of it. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend.

Amazing desert Jeep tour!
Highly recommend this awesome offroad Jeep tour of the desert. Our driver Bob was extremely knowledgeable about the desert vegetation and the history of the region. He was an excellent tour guide and had a great personality as he explained about the different species of desert plants and their medicinal uses. We even tasted the fruit of the barrel cactus. Bob also introduced us to his pet tarantula which was amazing. The terrain was like we had never seen and will be a memorable experience for the rest of our lives.

Beautiful and informative experience
Jeep ride through the Sonoran desert near Saguaro National Park (East). Our driver and guide (Jon) was quite knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He showed us how native Americans and early settlers utilized various cacti as food sources, and how the availability of groundwater could be predicted by growth patterns. He also spoke about gold prospecting techniques, fascinating. We were out about 2.5 hours and never got bored.

Learn about the desert environment
We took a 3.5 hour morning tour with Bob in August. He was an excellent guide. I am a retired biology teacher and his knowledge of the area in terms of the ecology and geology was excellent. I especially liked the info on medicinal botany for the area. He pointed out many types of plants and explained how they have been used by people living there in the past. The petroglyphs were very interesting too. The next day when we went on a hike on our own, we recalled so much that we had learned from Bob and got much more out of our hike.

Excellent tour with detailed information on flora & fauna!
We went on their tour of a private ranch today, and our tour guide, Bob, was excellent! I’m a consulting biologist, and Bob was very conversant in discussing Sonoran Desert plants and animals....he told fascinating stories about the medicinal uses of desert plants by Native tribes, interactions of animals and plants, and history of the land! Bob showed us ancient Native petroglyphs, animal dens, and pointed out many desert birds and animals. His knowledge of Sonoran cacti was very impressive!! We highly recommend this tour even for longtime Arizona residents!

Don’t miss this!!
Treated the family to a Traildust Adventures Jeep Tour and was really happy we went. We had Kurt to uide us and he does not skimp on details as he explains the benefits as well as the hazards that await in the desert. I think everyone learned at least a dozen new things while enjoying not only the ride, but the history of this area. Would I go again? In a heartbeat!
